The error message suggested I called a helpline (number stated 020) said to be Microsoft Security. I rang, lady answered (Indian/pakistan accent) lots of noise in the background, she wanted me to depress the windows and the letter R key on my laptop. was evasive when I asked what would happen. I received a text from Vodafone on 41145 they asked me to confirm my age to complete a survey, Vodafone know my age and only contact me via e-mail, I believe this is a scam

Knew my name and my email and tel number said from fairview limited . I asked what that was he didn’t answer. Asked again ,I was ignored , I asked again who they were ? To then be told can you listen ,can you listen . Then he said shut the F**k up and hung up .

Tried to convince me that they were from Sky and that my Internet speed wasn't appropriate. Then told me to download and app which gives them remote access to me phone. When I refused they told me I needed to pay them for the service they have just given me. Nice try!
