Spam/fraud caller hiding under UK Barnsley area code number. Doesn?t leave message on answer service and when you ring it back, number doesn?t exist. Beware.

CALLED WRONG ANSWERED NO RESPONSE

Apparently national lottery from a competition I entered. My other half answered and said I was out.

When I phoned them they said the company was RED STAR asking if I had credit problems.

In my case I think it was the idiot that spent 100 odd pounds on my uber account to order food from red dog saloon, Tinseltown and Patty and Bun in london on Valentine's Da...

missed the call but when you call the number back it doesnt exist or is not recognised.

Recorded message claiming to be HMRC stating that it was taking me to court, and to press option 1 to speak to my case officer. Ridiculous scam, presumably trying to get my name, address and NI number. No government department would ever contact anyone in this way, and certainly never leave a message that inflammatory.

One of many unsolicited/nuisance calls from a variety of numbers since applying for a so-called 'job' advertised by the so-called 'leading' job agency '...

This is the negative balance team from Paypal (See https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/Subscriptions/Paying-an-outstanding-recurring-payment/td-p/1000315 as an example). This team will call Paypal customers if a payment on their account has been paid by paypal but not by the funding source, creating a negative balance. The account holder has 45 days to deal with the issue, before Paypal go to the funding source to ask for the money on a "Chargeback" basis. Legitimate caller if you have a paypal account
