Distinctly foreign woman claiming to be from HMRC. I hung up before the spiel started.
Claim they are from British Gas line is very bad hissing and static Could hardly hear them From what I could make out they stated they could save me money on bills But couldnt hear the rest All other calls I make to family and friends are fine and clear So I suspect the call originates outside of the UK and routes through a system in this country which explains the poor line quality

Call received to my mobile 13.19 11/2. I get very few incoming calls hence suspected Spam call immediately. Decided to answer to have a bit off fun with the likely scammer but call cut off by the other party (remote dialler ?) as I went to answer. Claimed to be calling from O2, Indian call centre. Offering a 40% discount off my next bill, but could not tell me the name of the account holder. Hung up when I asked who he wanted to speak to. Said he'd send 2 text messages for me to activate the discount!!!!! Why if he was from O2, and I was with O2 he'd have my details and could active the discount automatically. Block this number.

Received an automated call from this number today on my landline, saying there were 2 suspicious transactions on my card one on Amazon, and the other for a International Money Transfer. Press 1 to accept, or 2 to Talk. Suspect call, as mentioned no customer name or bank name, and usually the landline is not used for any such services. Nevertheless checked with Banks. No such information being processed.
This phone number has attempted identity theft in January 2023.

Fraud SCAM The caller claimed to be from mobile phone promotion department offering a discount. I established that the caller was a fraud and called them out at which point they stopped being polite and friendly and began to taunt and be abusive. This call has been reported to the UK National Cyber Security Centre.
Said they were calling from debt solutions and can wipe out debt. Foreign call centre operator was given my usual torrent of vile abuse. One day they may stop calling.
