I’ve just had a call from this number which was automated and informed me that a transaction of £900 had been spent on my Visa Credit Card and to press 1 to enquire about it. This is a scam as I don’t have a Visa Credit Card so everyone please be aware of this number .

Received this call today. It came approximately 30 minutes after a call from a Cambridge number 01223 931995. The Cambridge number went dead on answering. The 01330 563426 number allowed me to answer, and an automated message said it was the HMRC and that I would be fined. You could press 1 to talk to an agent. I hung up. You cannot ring back. This number would appear to be à Plymouth number. However it is a recorded English voice about payments I have tried to make to Amazon and an International Money transfer.it is clearly a highly dangerous scam and similar to a call I had the other day from a different number with an American style voice. They don’t know your name or your card company
Indian accent claiming to be EE running a promotion. He ask for some pretty personal information. Name, address etc things EE should already have on file. Did not know the branch he was working from and was pretty adamant to get card info to enroll for the so called promotion but I had already picked up that it was a scam so no information was provided.

Called on our landline. Recorded message from Bank Security (didn't bother to say which bank). Apparently 2 transactions on my card (which one?!) £300 to Amazon and ..... I gave up at this point as it's obviously a scam. All our banks are based elsewhere so wouldn't phone from a local number and have mobile phones as first contact. Our number is recorded on Telephone Preference service but that doesn't seem to make any difference

It seems as though this could be a nuisance caller. My husband and I have both had calls from this number today, on our mobiles, while on holiday in France. It's slightly worrying, as we have many friends and relatives in the Manchester area. Our phones silence any unknown numbers but as no voicemail messages were left we are assuming the calls weren't important.

Fraud Phone company is investigating this number based in Yorkshire as they found it was linked to my pay monthly account. So knew my personal details and set up a new line! I only found out about it due to a different investigation regarding “crossed lines” or someone basically listening in on my calls! Not only were they listening to calls but seemed to know who I was, this by quoting my full name before the call connected. I ONLY ever phone anonymously! ...we shall see...
