After dozens of missed calls from this number - I never answer a number I do not recognise - I rang back the 0207 number and got a recorded message with another number to call to unsubscribe - 0207 619 7888. You need to quote the number they ve called you on and tell them it s Shelter, as they re obviously a telemarketing company with a number of clients. I donated to Shelter by text and since then have been plagued by these calls at all hours. Waiting to see if they re as good as their word...

This is a corker! You will like this one. So the girl calls me while I am sat in work - that isn t fair because I cannot string her along like I would normally. "We can help you with IVF, write of your debts" type of thing. Usually I would play along, and ask for lots of details - get the call to waste her time for about 5 or 10 minutes, like I said I say at my desk So she comes out with "this was actually set up by the queen" "What she set this up" "Yes" and I thought all she did was gro old
SCAM A recorded message from 'Crystal at BT technical support' to tell me that they had detected that 'your security has been breached; dial 1 to speak to BT technical support. Clearly a scam of some nature, I didn't bother to dial 1 to find out what exactly.

Telemarketing- seemed to know all my details (address and full name). I expressed i could not take the phone call as i was working but they pushed me to take the call. Said they were from Virgin, and that they'd picked up drops in wifi. As I am with virgin I went along with it initially, but it rang warning bells as was to my work internet phone number (working from home atm). They asked if I was owner of number and bill payer of internet phone line, said no it was for work, and where had they got number, and they hung up.
Keeps calling but won't leave a message. We don't know anyone in Glasgow where this website tells us the call is originating.

On answering what was apparently a London number, a completely automated female voice started rambling on that it was on behalf of someone from HMRC (an officer Denis Grey) and that I or my solicitor needed to call back 'or face the consequences' (oooohh, so scary! *sarcasm*) Just plain irritating and stupid.
