Two calls from this number with a recorded voice message claiming £700 has been drawn on our account to Amazon and further £2000 cash transfer, then a couple of number options to press to speak to someone. Needless to say, I hung up. Yet another time-wasting and potentially dangerous scam.

I've worked in customer service multiple times, one thing I've been told which is common sense is not to spam our customers with calls, maximum I'd call is 2 times for a single customer then stop. Whoever's number this is has been calling everyday for the past few weeks which is 100% a scam. This number is no longer J A Winward and Sons - Scientific Glassware. My dad was one of the "sons", (J A Winward was my grandad)... I don't know who is using the phone number now, but the premises is now an art studio called Red Door and they might still have the same phone number?

If you speak then the line is detected as 'a voice line' and logged, a scammer will then call you later! If you don't recognize the number calling DON'T SPEAK, JUST LISTEN!
