Apparently national lottery from a competition I entered. My other half answered and said I was out.

I received numerous calls but when trying to call back it says number does not exsists No message is left on my answer phone either

Like all the other comments, this was a recorded message claiming to be from Inland Revenue (I should have smelled a rat immediately at that point - it s HMRC now...) and that I was being sued. Brain not in gear, and in panic, dialled 1, but silence at the other end, then call terminated. I am now so angry. Missed Call - Called Back - And the same PPI S**t. The lady started off asking personal details, which I didn t reveal and asked what it is about. She doesnt want to listen when I said I am not interested and she can take off my name from her database. Am now receiving atleast 1-2 calls a day and 3-4 sms messages from various people/companies and I think it has crossed the limits to be tagged as harassment. Am not sure what OFCOM is doing about it.

Scammers, comes up as a manchester number 01618149468 their not afraid to bluff it out even when I said I would inform the police. Have blocked the number.

Very rude man wants myself and my wife to take out advertising and also to give out personal details about ourselves. When I said no he threatened to kill us and said he was entitled to have our details. Has now phoned 22 times in 3 hours. Treat carefully.

AMAZON - trying to find out if this is SPAM, they rang me saying there was international activity on my account and text me a verification code to my phone asking me to read it out. I said i wasn't happy to carry on the call as I don't know they are who they say they are.

This is the negative balance team from Paypal (See https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/Subscriptions/Paying-an-outstanding-recurring-payment/td-p/1000315 as an example). This team will call Paypal customers if a payment on their account has been paid by paypal but not by the funding source, creating a negative balance. The account holder has 45 days to deal with the issue, before Paypal go to the funding source to ask for the money on a "Chargeback" basis. Legitimate caller if you have a paypal account

Rang me on my mobile number but when I answered they put the phone down. I rang back with no reply so I tried again later from my landline.Guy answered and I explained I had received a call but they had put the phone down.He apologised and asked for my mobile number and when I gave him it he already knew my name so I asked where he got my number from.He said I must have filled something out online (which I haven t), however I did attempt to get a EHIC card but couldn t get onto the system so I had to do it
