SCAM, claimed to be from virgin, claimed i had unauthorized IP ADDRESSES ON MY ROUTER,AS THEY HAD NOT GONE THROUGH "SECURITY" I ASKED THEM TO CONFIRM MY ACCOUNT NUMBER AND THEY HUNG UP, I HAD ABOUT 8 CALLS THIS MONTH FROM DIFFERENT NUMBERS & ALL HAD THE SAME ACCENT, AN INDIAN ASIAN ACCENT, THOSE THAT HUNG AROUND TO TALK HUNG UP WHEN QUESTIONED.
Called me saying they had information I had been in a car accident. I asked who had informed them and she disregarded my question to ask her own. I then stated that if she couldn t answer the question then we couldn t speak further, so she hung up. I hope she sleeps well at night knowing that her entire platform of employment is based upon being a nuisance.

They said they were calling from HMRC, however HMRC never calls mobile numbers. I get at least three calls a day from this company who transmit automated tele-marketing messages about me qualifying for a government funded boiler. The number is 01604 761440.Most of the messages go to my answerphone and while on holiday recently they completely filled my recording space. I am TPS registered and they still persist in calling so I will be taking further action. Clearly this company is breaking the law and I am feeling both harassed and agitated by the annoyance. Called today. Heavy Indian accent and lots of Indian voices in the background. Said he was calling from BT Tech dept....yeah ok like I believe that. I told him he was in for a big surprise as we had traced his number and would take matters further as he had reached an internal secure line at Essex police headquarters(he hadn t) but he hung up really QUICKLY. It s about time BT stopped selling blocks of numbers to scammer scum. If they don t then we, as genuine customers, should be able to sue BT.

Automated answer informed me that my national insurance and bank accounts had been suspended. A crime number had been issued and court proceedings instigated. I was to press “1” to speak to operative. Safe to say I hung up. Strangely the actual phone number is very close to my own phone number….only a couple of digits out.
