Woman calls claiming I have recently been the victim of a car accident which is a miracle as I don t drive. Hung up as soon as she said that but she first identified herself as being from Adept Consulting - I actually have a real client with the same business name which is why I carried on the call! Absolute bloody nuisance!!

I was called in response to an advert I had on gumtree, he was telling me he was looking to recruit in my area but now having seen the company website I realise it was a scam to get me to advertise with them. not impressed with deception.

I had a call from this number saying it's the police and my national insurance has been used for suspicious activities. They threatened me with arrest and then asked me for my name and my insurance number, When I said I wouldn't give it to them and would present myself to a precinct instead they hung up on me.
If these details are correct - I do not know anyone in Russia, which makes this call (which I didn't answer) likely a scam I would think(?)

Its a trustworthy number as its AO.COM. I bought an appliance recently and they were confirming everything. Unfortunately, the guy was persistent on setting up a domestic and general insurance for £7 a month. Annoying as the appliance comes with 2 years warranty.
