Text Message SCAM Posing as delivery service with suspicious link
today 07-03-2023 the number 01789238138 called me. on my answer there was no reply. it`s quite disturbing to here nothing on the other end.

Another scam call from "The Advisors", trying to sell premium savings on life insurance. 'Paul' tells me their website is at theadvisors.co.uk - visiting that results in a rather empty webpage from the domain owner trying to sell the domain for £800. No proper website in place! It's the second call I've got from 'Paul' at The Advisors this week, I blocked his previous number, which was 07723553123. You can spot a pattern in these numbers, they're 0772355xxxx. BASC British Association Shooting & Conservation Genuine company, child-called this morning, i wasn't sure if they were looking for donations or trying to sell memberships, as i interrupted the caller very quickly when i realised it wasn't the call that i was waiting for. The caller was very polite, so i only hope that they have removed my number now.

024 7630 5294 - This number belongs to furinncattery.co.uk but it has been "hijacked" by some cons pretending they are from Vodaphone. Hysterically, when I said I am not with Vodaphone, the person on the other end asked which company I was with and tried to engage in conversation with me! Heavy Asian accent. I just ended the call and haveblocked the number (as I am not expecting a call from the cattery either!)

Obvious SCAM! Recorded message from un-named bank claiming that 'unusual activity on your account'. Goes on to ask you to click on various numbers to say if genuine transaction or not.
This numkber called us around 5AM and when I checked, the number was out of service.
No longer do I speak when I answer a number not familiar. If it's a cold call, they will speak first. If it's someone who knows me, they will speak if I don't. This one just hung up, so I can deduce it was an unsolicited and unwanted call and blocked them.

Asian woman said her name was Carol (as if) told me I lived at a house I moved from in 2015. Asked who I had life insurance with and started arguing with me when I told her that's none of her business. She kept repeating aviva, bupa, sunlife is your life insurance with those. I kept saying its nothing to do with you. Then she hung up.

Phone was off but had a missed call from this number and HUGE reported on line concerns from people about it. It worryingly coincides with DAILY Phishing e mails for past 3/4 months reported to report@phishing/ICO and Microsoft. And apparently NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE IN ALL THAT TIME AND SCAM ATTEMPTS BEING EVERY DAY! Worrying and EXTREMELY annoying. What’s the point of these reporting forums
I think this is a marketing call. No message left, but they tried twice and the same day I received a call from a similar number with 2 different digits - again no message. When I called it (blocking my own number) there's an automated number saying the office is closed and it's 'something' communications (I didn't catch the first word). I figure if it was important / genuine they'd leave a message.
