Indian lady with call centre background noise called, she said she was from carphone warehouse. And gave me a iphone 15 max deal with unlimited Internet and calls for £18. I have signed up, she took my credit card and bank details. She said she'll get the phone delivered today...I'm not sure if this was a real or fake because i can't see any such offers today.

SCAM claimed to be insurance on domestic appliances up for renewal - quoted my name, address and phone number (all as per phone directory) at me,then asked for my date of birth for verification - I asked him to tell me my date of birth so that I could verify it and (surprise, surprise) the line went dead.

Said it was a return number to contact PayPal on a suspicious email. It is not the number for PayPal given on their website. The number on their website is a landline number not a mobile number.

Automated call to say that there had been fraudulent activity on our bank account. Then gave 2 amounts. £250 and £1000. (or so).from Amazon. We have had 3 similar calls in the last 3 days. All from different numbers. No money has gone from our account and no bank name was given and therefore I presume that it was a scam.
Asian voice said he was from PC World - wanted to know my address and postcode and my name (all he had was my mobile number).
Apparently I was due to compensation £££m having been conned by Mecedes about emissions. Told him I had seven Mercs, was a little busy and could he just put the money into a plain envelope and leave it underneath a bench at Fenchhurch Street station without passing GO, and I would have my butler pick it up later. He cut me off without confirming. The number is now blocked. Sense a potential scam.

What is the point of a reverse phone number search when all you get in a search reply is where the area code covers and nothing else.
Called tiday not known to me so let it go to answer machine soon as machine cut in they hug up must be a scam other wise they would leave a message.
Had 3 calls so far today, 1 in morning 2 afternoon, all hang up after I pick up, regardless of wait time. No one knows my landline either, so don’t know how it’s being called unless it’s malicious. This number called me at approx 11.27 am. Caller addressed me by my first name but that was all I could understand, the noise going on in the background (His) drowned out everything else he was saying. I would describe the noise as though he was calling me from a very busy PUB. I told the caller this and hung up. No attempt was made to call me back. SCAM
