home improvement company from Braintree. he had my name and i asked him if i had requested a call. he said it was his job to call me as part of his job. I said that it was a cold call and it was his company job not to ask him to call me especially as i am registered with the tps.He knows exactly what he is doing and he knows my right to say no to cold calls. Foriegn caller from number 01392274111 said he was calling from BT open reach and that I had a problem with my broadband, that I wasn't receiving the service I should be. When I said I didn't have any problem with my broadband he abruptly hung up. Blocked. Something needs doing about these scam callers.

Received automated call on 11 Nov 2016 at 8:59. Female voice with Indian accent said "I am ... calling from BT and it is about your broadband line". I said I knew she was not from BT and she hung up. This scam has been going on for several days. It appears to be a spoof number, you cannot call back.

Short call from this number telling me I will be arrested shortly if I do not press '1'. The caller said that he was from Her Majesty's service.
Unknown caller. when dialed there is an exchange message "The number you have dialed has not been recognised. Please check and try again." This seems to be occurring more frequently. It is now possible to make calls from another number look as though the call is coming from somewhere totally different, for example a call made from a Glasgow number can seem to come from London. Be wary. This experience happens on calls from 01506 674749 to 01506 674752 inclusive.
