Seems to be some call center, I can see more similar numbers (all the same range - 011724443xx, just last 2 or 3 digits different) reported here already. No idea who is behind it, they left no message, no VM. I really don't answer unknown numbers, tried to dig some info about this number first on internet, but no luck so far. People did someone answer it?

They are a legit debt collection agency who (as mentioned above) have purchased debt from another company such as Phone Networks, Utility companies etc. If you owe money they will call you but must adhere to certain times of the day which is normally 8am until 9pm only.
Scam call pretending to be BT Technical Dept. "Have lots of unusual IP addresses on your internet line. Go to your computer and type ...". No chance!
This worthless information 0870 number belongs to Digital Mail and is only available during limited hours during the weekday, excluding weekends. If you call outside these hours, the call is dropped after the first ring and you will still be charged for the call which is a another scam. If you get through to Digital Mail s 0870 446 0870 number, the information you find calling this telephone number is information you already know about these PPI refund scam or bogus lottery on other Digital Mail numbers

I applied for a boiler and got few replies yesterday. I left my mobile number. It s the only way anyone could have got my number within last few days.
