However the van he had me as owning was from over 5 years ago, so I guess this is some old hacked database and then a scam to get your money. I have not answered to these people. Not once. Yet, they call at least weekly. I ve got a years line rental with BT paid for up-front, which allows me to block 99% of unwanted calls (with a BT blocker phone purchased separately, in case anyone was wondering). I received a 'phone call from 02034326587. A gentleman with an Indian accent, who knew my first name, tried to sell me something about cryptocurrencies, whether it was a course or an investment opportunity I don't know as I replied that it wasn't anything I was interested in. Despite that, he was quite persistant, until I asked him where he had got my name and number, at which point the line went dead.

Answered first call, where automated voice said, Your Amazon Prime membership has just been renewed at a cost of £79.99. If you want to cancel this payment, press 1. I'd cancelled my Amazon Prime membership ages ago! After the first call, screened next few calls to answer machine where no message was left, just silence.
