The email also contained a website link and three phone numbers which I was to contact in case I was interested. Called claiming to be Curry’s Pc World acting on behalf of network providers giving customers better deals. Phoned Curry’s to check legitimacy and they informed me this is definitely a scam as they don’t even have an outbound sales call team anymore and don’t act under the Currys Pc World name anymore, just ‘Curry’s’.
My mother has been contacted many times on this and other phone numbers. The message, from the caller is always the same, she tells my mother, first in English and then in Chinese that she has a package waiting for her, to collect from the Chinese embassy. This is clearly a scam call.
