It s a company ringing about debts they think you may have had or have and they try to reference your connection to a survey or some search you ve done possibly connected to you looking for the best credit cards available. Very busy call centre with lots of other people in the background so difficult to hear everything.
I received a text today asking me to ring 0345 301 6084. Phoned Natwest on normal customer service number instead and they know nothing about it, looks like a scam number.
Picked phone up and said hello and they rang off.
This is the second time I've received these unsolicited calls- the first time was from a different number but it's the same scam. The recorded voice message says that it is a call from HMRC regarding tax fraud. You are requested to press 1 to speak to an officer who then calls you back from a listed HMRC number. They inform you that you owe tax & when you ask for details or question why you've not received any written information they become argumentative & threatening.

Seemed genuine to me, they do not ask for any personal details except your address to send you a £5 love to shop voucher as a thank you for participating in their survey (but you do not have to give them any personal information whatsoever if you wish to remain anonymous)

SCAM: Fifth identical call today, once an hour, from different phone numbers (probably all spoofed) Automated female voice, claiming to be from BT Internet Dept, who have supposedly been trying to call me urgently, because of ‘suspicious activity’ on my account.
