Automated message claiming to be from Amazon that I've been charged £95 for subscription and to press 1 or 2. Received another a few days ago from number 01354 672840. Both numbers Chatteris/March or surrounding areas.
They caller is rang off when I picked up phone but it made me feel threatened. I researched the area code and apparently "spoofing their ID"

I ve been called 5 times today from this number. The caller is difficult to understand in a heavy Asian/Indian accent. I was out but hey left an automated message saying suspicious activity on my bank account, listing some of them. Then 'Press 1' to cancel these payments etc etc. Typical scam and definitely might catch some people out. I deleted the message.

I ve had so many missed calls of these people then they send me a message which came up just a number and asked if they "can call me later"! Well I thought it was someone trying to get sexual with me until I put the number in here and seen,realised these ejits had text me twice of different numbers!!! The other text actually came up as CARS and was asking me to call them urgently!!! ,not after reading these comments!!

Asian male claims to be Joe from Sky insisting on selling me Sky Breakdown cover. Up to 5 calls a day. 1471 results in poorly worded computer generated message re tv repair. He was very upset when I asked him to stop talking and to listen to me. He continued in very, very broken English to talk. I told him never to call again and to remove my number from his list. This number is not secure, it is scammers pretending to be from O2, offering a 50% discount off your monthly bill. Tempting, obviously. They say a text will be sent to confirm this, followed by another text with a code to activate the offer. They will then ask you to repeat the code to them BUT doing this will allow them to take control over your account and possibly other info on your phone. Something didn't feel right so when they rang back for the code I didn't answer but googled O2 scams. Beware.
