The text was written in Swedish (I live in Sweden) and stated that I had an unpaid parking debt and provided a link - which I didn't follow. I had a call to say my gas meter engineer was in an accident and had to rearrange for next week. Strangely I had a call from the engineer 15 minutes later to say he was on his way and knew nothing of an accident. I can't help but feel suspicious .
Safe number noticed this number once every month on my telephone bill with a monthly charge of 14p. Turns out it is an automatic test call from PPP Taking Care alarm which we have for elderly mother. Called them to ask why we are being charged as we pay a quarterly handling charge. They very kindly switched this to a freephone number so no more charges.
