Unsolicited sales call from Hot House Energy in Edinburgh for solar panels. I m registered with TPS so unsure how they got my number. Asked to be removed from their list.

Phone rang and automated voice said this is a call for (my name) if you can take the call press 1. Then it went to hold music. Then a guy answered from CARS and said hello and asked for the first line of my address. I asked who the company was and why they needed my address. He said it was for security. I said I wasn t giving details until they told me why. They said a business associate of mine had passed on my details. I asked who. Got a call from this number saying that I had successful PPI claim on a credit card and they needed UKASH voucher for their 10% commission - although I had never paid PPI on that card. A quick google check showed another cost trap with very similar number (02032864182) with almost identical MO. I shall therefore most definitely NOT be giving them any UKASH code, nor any other detail. Hopefully I can help protect potential victims.
