I answered the call but they hang up. I've received two calls from mobile numbers that have the same first 5 numbers. These scammers seem to use a number very similar to yours. I guess to make you think it looks like a genuine caller. Best is not to answer. If there is no voice message left then it is likely to be a scam.

Been called alt least twice a day by this number...it s a debt/loan agency...I personally have never had any dealings with this, or any other agency, so have fostered my mobile with the TPS and added the number to my spam application on the phone. When called back they state they are HMRC and ask for my phone number I said if you were HMRC you would not be asking me that, they said sorry made a mistake and hung up. big warning signs this is a SCAM!

My Mum has been getting calls from this number, same as others report, just silent calls. My Mum s number has been registered with TPS for a number of years now, so this should not really be happening. As such, must be treated as highly suspicious.

As with most other comments, single ring then hung up. Did not call back. Weird thing was, this call came in on my company mobile, the number for which is only given out to colleagues and a few family members. I ve never used it to sign up for anything so no idea how they got it. Assume auto dialler?
