nuisance calls too many times

This number seems to be used by some call centre - I can see very similar numbers reported (01244470043, 44,45), all the same range just with last digits different, which is a common thing - they use a range of similar numbers. They are reported with different scope, but mostly as PPI offers and pensions (financial services). I tried to call the number back but no luck, number not in service - probably one-way gateway of the call centre not allowing inbound calls so you are not able to call them back. Peopl

Rang my mobile briefly and then stopped. No message left. Probably trying to tempt me into calling them back. An unknown number and unsolicited. SCAM 01392433831 called me today approximately 11pm on my landline - I don't say anything when i answer and wait for the caller to speak first - but when I took the call it had a very noisy background like a call centre, but no discernible conversations then the caller hung up. This is a typical nuisance call - usually from overseas with heavily accented BT/O2/Vodafone/EE 'Technician' wanting to access my accounts etc. They always hangup if i don't say anything first.

I just had fun with 2 of these calls. Call 1: I pretended to be deaf and to mishear everything the caller said... who eventually disconnected! Call 2: when asked "and how are you today?" I responded by giving them a detailed litany of all my ailments, in my case all invented! I would not let the caller get a word in and I terminated the call by thanking them for calling about my health but I have to go now to have my piles looked at by the nurse and I did not want to miss my appointment. Since having a minor accident 8 months ago, I've now had calls from over 30 different accident claims companies. Absolutely sick of them. They've got my home number, work number and mobile number. Relentless.
