2 calls today from these people, the second time the caller was, I said I wasn't interested as I believed it to be a scam, and I asked to be removed from their list. they argued it wasn't a scam, I asked to be removed a second and then third time, the final time he simply said, in an angry and loud voice "NO" and then hung up immediately.! Accepted call and was greeted with friendly How are you today. BUT then went on to ask if I had heard of an IVA. Said yes and asked how they had my number. The reply was they were ringing on behalf of the government to stop people paying excessive credit charges. Asked them to remove my number. Staff member shirty said she had not spoken to me before and just wanted to know my circumstances. Is this one big scam? My mobile is blocked and number hidden so where do they get the information?

This is Scottish Power s Debt Collection Dept. Don t waste your time answering or returning calls to them though! Left them 2 months ago, received final bill, paid via direct banking which the bank have confirmed but still being hounded.
