If you answer "hello" or anything else, your line is then logged as a 'VOICE LINE' and you'll be called back sometime later by a con-artist! Whenever you don't recognize a number, DON'T SPEAK! JUST LISTEN! If you don't hear anyone and the line goes dead, then you've just successfully escaped being scammed! Well done :-)

SCAM Got 2 calls today, first one at 8am with a man with a indian accent who wasn't sure what name to call the caller and second one a woman more confident but as soon as I said that I was going to report her number at Action Fraud she started to panic. I made her believe that she was recorded and she change her tone of voice to terminate the call asap. Seems that they only hire Indian people behind this number.

So to confirm them by pressing 1 I did not do that & after 10 seconds or so it went dead. I only have insurance home/ contents & car with Aviva but done through a good insurance broker. I have no credit cards nothing to do with payments from Aviva to anywhere. I feel 100% this was a fraudulent/ scam

SCAM - scam baiters who bought Sky number ranges and are cold calling victims trying to claim to be the ISP. Tosser kept calling me "bro". I first asked him to confirm my IP address (dynamically allocated) and he gave me something he made up - that didn't have all 4 sets of numbers. Sky have been asked about this and aware of these scammers.
