Asian female saying they are from Currys/PCWorld offering new phone deals. I hung up.
Calling saying they were from Currys / PC World , accent suggested Indian caller, Currys / PC World do not have permission to call me - caller hung up when challenged on this. I suspect it was a scam call (your PC is infected with a virus type scam)

This number called me at 07:25 with an automated message saying they were from Amazon and that I should call them back, the line was very crackly.
RECORDED ENGLISH ACCENT CLAIMED TO BE FROM AMAZON WITH FRAUD ACTIVITY ON MY ACCOUNT 07447077845 Indian/Pakistani accent after a recorded message with multi choice. I did my usual barrage of EXPLETIVES 'you know what i mean' and they hung up. Don't be fooled by these scam artists. AMAZON WOULD NEVER PHONE YOU WITH ANY PROBLEM WITH YOUR ACCOUNT.

Definitely a scam. They must use a system that generates a local number as I’m getting them calling at me multiple times a day. Already had 2 today and it’s not even 3pm yet. 73p access charge an 7p. A short ring received and stop so knew it was a scam, but trying to delete from my missed calls, my phone dialled the number and I ended the call but not quick enough, so charged. Obviously a scam to may you call back a premium number and make money from their charges.
