I too have just had exactly the same call as others from this Asian guy. I don t understand how these people can still be operating from the same telephone number without having been investigated and taken offline by the Police. Because no scam has actually taken place, Action Fraud don t want the detail, just to record the attempted fraud in their stats. Presumably some people are falling for this.

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 11642826xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with car accident chasers, mostly Central claims Group, just another insurance telemarketing. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?

Called again two days later and asked if they were speaking to the lady of the house . When I said no he wanted to ask questions anyway. I told im we don t answer questions or do surveys. I think the number shown on my mobile may be a spoof number to prompt me to reply and be diverted to the premium rate real number. This is the second time in 2 days I have reported a problem.
