Rang and asked for someone whose name I didn't know. When I said they weren't at the number they dialled they called back twice more, first time said "i just wanted to explain" before i hung up. The second time I just said "are you kidding me?" and terminated the call.

PPI claims company. Asked for me by name, and said that they understood that I was recently rejected a claim. I corrected them saying I made my claims already and nothing was refused, your "facts" are wrong! Caller was like "oh, er...ok, then we ll take you off our system..." to which I interrupted "that will be advisable, as my number is TPS registered and this number will be reported if you call again!" They say they are accident claim experts - called me about the recent accident, which I havent had! When I said that I didnt have accident and I was on telephone preference list so shoudnt get these calls, he would not take no for an answer and went on to say it wasnt a sales call!!! In the end I had too hang up

Called my 94 yo father, claiming to be HMRC and accused him of defrauding taxman since 1952! Fortunately my dad is sharp as a pin & told them to go away and procreate. Calling the number back results in a diversion to a non UK ringing tone which does not answer.
