Automated call from American sounding lady informing me that an overseas surcharge had been made on my Paypal account for £199 - press 1 to pay the surcharge or press 2 to speak to customer service. Put the phone down at this point and blocked the number.

This number does not stop calling! I dialled the number back and pressed 1 to opt out. It asked for my full name, my full address and my phone number. (I gave all the details except my address) and THEY STILL CALL. I called Scottish Power directly to tell them about this and they did not know it was going on. Unknown caller. when dialed there is an exchange message "The number you have dialed has not been recognised. Please check and try again." This seems to be occurring more frequently. It is now possible to make calls from another number look as though the call is coming from somewhere totally different, for example a call made from a Glasgow number can seem to come from London. Be wary. This experience happens on calls from 01506 674749 to 01506 674752 inclusive.

African accent from BT .I asked if his CV wasn t good enough to get him a proper job and he called me a M..F.. I suggested that this response wasn t very articulate and his lack if intelligence may be the root of his problems. This provoked even more anger. I just answer the call & remain silent it s worked for some cold callers
I have received phone calls from this number a few times so I called to tell them to stop calling. The call went to the answering machine message "your call is very important to us, please stay on the line and wait for the next available agent" - no mention of company name (always a rubbish sign), I waited 5 minutes and they disconnected.
Cold call which started playing a script about the cold caller being pressured to read script. Obviously trying to get me to sympathise with cold caller. I hung up before finding out what they were trying to push. Probably PPI
