This is a Bit Coin SCAM .The odd number originates from the U.S. toll free system .This means the recipient pays for the call not the initiator .Beware very dangerous.
SCAM pretending to be First Direct Fraud department, which it’s not. As soon as I said I would call FD back myself they hung up very fast. The number is similar to the First Direct number but is NOT legitimate. Do not give any details of any kind to them.

That link looks like a Gov.com site ok but when I do a separate visit to Gov.com it states there that I do not need to apply for this. something fishy about this I think

Text message claims to be from Evri, saying they attempted a delivery. They want you to pay for a redelivery but really just want your bank details. Be aware!
Texted me with the message 'We're sorry, but you don't have enough credit. Your recent purchase could no be completed.' Followed by a link to click, presumably to "top-up" my credit. Funny thin is - I've not purchased anything. Clearly a scam.

Someone me rang from this number querying credit card purchases. They did not say what card.
FraudFemale recorded voice with American accent (very amateurish) saying they were HMRC and that I had been reported for tax evasion. The case has been reported to the police and would be brought before a magistrate. "Press 1 to speak to a HMRC agent", Obviously I didn't. This country has some of the most advanced telecomms technology in the world. WHY can't the authoriries (Police, BT, the Regulator) take down these numbers?
Phone rang. I did not answer it. No message left on answerphone.
Total scammer, completely fraudulent. Avoid all contact. Offers fraudulent investments to steal your money.

I have a Sky and 02 contract, different phones. I had a call from this number purporting to be 02 on my Sky phone; took me a while to realise! Offered me a 45% discount on my bill for 2 years with no catches??? Spoke in an Indian accent, very fast, so not easy to understand. Asked for my full name, which I queried as he was supposed to have my account records. However, not giving anything away, I did so but he misspelled everything. SCAM this number calls and tries to get you to sign up for medical emergency devices like pendants. They tell you different excuses for their call like you had a medical appointment and now qualify for a few pendant with a huge one off service fee on over £150 that y they then say is for 12 months service which isn't a one off payment. They all for your card or direct debit details and when you tell them you think it's a scam they hang up on you.
