Text Messages suspicions link sent in text to my phone which is brand new 2 days I’ve had my phone and not given my number to anybody yet so how did they manage to get it?

When i questioned him about it he could only give my name nothing else. I then saod citizens advice now call random calls he then said he works for citizens governments advice. I think this is a marketing call. No message left, but they tried twice and the same day I received a call from a similar number with 2 different digits - again no message. When I called it (blocking my own number) there's an automated number saying the office is closed and it's 'something' communications (I didn't catch the first word). I figure if it was important / genuine they'd leave a message.

I had a call from this number this morning at 10.49 (approx) and a recorded message came which told me that my Visa card had been used by someone for £900. I didn't bother to listen to the whole message as it was obvious to me that it was a scam. Interestingly I waited a few minutes and then called the number back (which I don't usually bother to do) and a very nice lady answered who said that she ran a clinic. It became obvious that she was genuine and that the scammers had used her number.
Claimed to be O2....hung up after 2 minutes as couldn't understand caller. Suspect scam call centre.
Fraud American accent, pre-recorded message saying it was HMRC and there was a problem with my tax record. Told me that in order to avoid jail I needed to sort this out immediately and had to press 1 to be put through to an advisor. Potentially very threatening for anyone who didn’t recognise it as a scam. Google search reveals that if I had pressed 1 my call might have been rerouted to a different country and I could have faced hefty phone charges.
Man with strong Asian accent claimed to be from Vodaphone Pretty sure that was not true. I hung up both times.

SCAM Called to offer an iPhone deal and when challenged reduced price by a third and then when I told them what I was paying reduced price to less than a third of the original price including a new phone and air time etc. Too good to be true or just a scam.
