SCAM! Called saying I have evaded tax and there is an arrest warrant. Pressing 1 led me to the hold music and a robot which most scammers use which say your call is very important to us. This is definitely not how you would be contacted for tax fraud. You would be arrested already.

I was contacted and told that there was something seriously wrong with my computer. I convinced the woman at the other end that my computer wasn t here and asked her to provide a callback number. Typed the number into google, found this.

Claiming to be DWP with a recorded message saying my National Insurance number is due to be terminated because of fraudulent and suspicious activity and to press 1 to continue.
Was an automated message saying they were from BT telling me that the phone line & internet was being cut off unless I pressed various numbers, I’m not even with BT.

I very rarely pick up the phone from numbers blocked or I don t recognise. This number has shown up several times on my phone, perhaps 8 in the last 3 weeks. They never leave a msg so I assume it s never important, but I wish they d stop.
Called about loft insulation. Said if was not a “selling” call it was a survey carried out to see if insulation was to standard. Then went on to say she Kew it was not to current standards but still denied it was a sales call. When I asked her to cut to the chase and not blindly following a script. She became abusive said I was a clever dick if I could see down the phone at what she was doing then she swore at me and hung up. Nice.
