SCAM. Claims they ring from Catphone Warehouse but after googling phone number belongs to Radisons Dry Cleaning. Speaker barely can talk English and when I asked a question, he didn't understand it.
Called and said they from 3 mobile, promo dep. Offered two new phones with cheaper contracts, everything unlimited. (I got 8 months left tho). Then asked for name. He said he was passing me to his manager (diff man) he asked spelling of name, asked for postcode and house number. When I questioned needing house number he said checking because of scams. Also said different dep and just verifying. He asked for sort code & account number, when I questioned this HE HUNG UP! I called 3 not them. SCAMMERS!!

They cold-call phoned me about renewal of insurance on kitchen white goods. They needed some banking details to alter the payment paperwork because they were giving me a no-claims discount. Knew enough about me to make this plausible. I 'needed to go to an appointment' [actually true] so I had to ask them to phone back tomorrow - which they were readily willing to do. Numbers 01182-302112 -308128 & -308140 are loft insulation scams. Phone rings and caller, a computer, hangs up if it doesn't hear a voice! If you answer "hello" or anything else, your line is then logged as a 'VOICE LINE' and you'll be called back sometime later by a con-artist! Whenever you don't recognize a number, DON'T SPEAK! JUST LISTEN! If you don't hear anyone and the line goes dead, then you've just successfully escaped being scammed! Well done :-)

A silent call from one of a block of numbers. As fast as one number is blocked another is used. So far 10 different numbers from the block ranging from numbers ending 763 to 776. Regularly getting 2 or 3 a day. If they are from 3 network then Ofcom need to investigate
