A woman with a Middlesborough accent tried to interest me in solar panels, saying she was from The Energy Reduction Company. When I asked how she got my number she said it was on their database & when I told her I was registered with TPS she said she d get it removed - but I doubt it as I ve been called by this number before, though not giving the same company name. I have reported them to TPS.

SCAM Call on 4th April 21, very heavy Indian accent with a songbird in the background! Doubted it would be genuine because of the standard of english so cut him off. However he did have my first & last name and referred to me having requested VOIP which I had done previously but I had already been told definitively that VOIP was not available here. I just had contact with (real) BT who checked my records and no contact had been attempted on that date.

Seems to be some call center, I can see more similar numbers (all the same range, just last 2 or 3 digits different) reported here already - mostly with PPI, insurance marketing. No idea who is behind it, they left no message, no VM. I really don't answer unknown numbers, tried to dig some info about this number first on internet, but no luck so far. People did someone answer it?
Just had my first call today from this number, I should have Googled the number before texting and asking who is calling I have checked a few sites, some say the number is from Bemuda, others Manchester but after reviews on both I am not amused and shall be telling them where to stick their nuisance phone calls
