Called today. When i asked for name to be confirmed due to a strong accent the lady suddenly changed her name to Kate Brown. Very forceful to try to confirm my name. She used an old name so I said it wasn’t me. I said don’t call again and she said she would call again.

I randomly got texted by this number saying "Hi, there." at 11:18, which was weird at first but then I texted "who is this?" and I haven't got a response yet. This website says it's an EE number but I don't get why they would say "Hi, there." with no reason of texting me, if anyone has any idea of who they might be, please tell me.

I do not have bt broadband - BT can not technically supply it on this old rural line. I get b/band via radio link frmo an idependent provider which has nothing to do with BT. Said they were BT, I had too many people using my IP. The account name was wrong. They said they could block them from their server, but it would be better from my PC. After my challenges they sent a text message with a verification code. It said to change my password. I did. Had one previously, real BT support said it was a scam. Assumed this identical call was too. Only the false account name was a clue, otherwise how can you tell?
