Safe! Its the Halifax transfer money check it only incorrectly calls people if someone has given your phone number as the safety check.
This number is a landline from Swansea, part of a number range 17929177xx dedicated to some call centre - by most users reported as a debts & loans, The Review Bureau - life insurance brokers etc. Probably some robocaller testing if the line is answering. When you pick it up prepare for real telemarketing offers :)...

i do not like the way this company operates. Service reps do nott turn up for appointments and when they eventually do so they try aggressive sales techniques to get you to enter a contract even though they have been told not at the outset that I do not want one. Still waiting for a replacement light after 4 months. Also the last person that came stank so much of nicotine I had to use my inhaler twice. Not impressed.

I believe this number is a scam, here is the text I received: PayPal: A new device just signed into your account, if this was not you please follow our secure link and unlock your account now: https://pp-unblock.com/ Instead of opening the link on my phone I tried to open it on my computer first, my browser blocked it of threat of installing dangerous software. This message was sent during the Christmas period making it very suspicious for it's normally the time scams try to take advantage of people.

Scam, they clone your number and then send themselves premium texts which you have to pay for. It should be blocked by providers.

I saw two cold calls from this number. I called back with 'number hidden'. A lady voice responded "Good Morning, Bank of England". Is this not a criminal activity as "Bank of England is a highly respected HM Govt. institution. Can't police check first, record and then arrest this people? for fraud and criminal activity charges?
