Tried to change account information on my electricity. Luckily I noticed absolute scum bag.

It’s a scam, claimed to be from a bank and not enough funds in bank to complete transactions. Very bad line and eventually the caller hung up, daughter rang number back and it’s not recognised.

SCAM call from a man with Asian accent who said he was BT Openreach. I asked him if there was a problem with my BT internet. He said yes, how did I know that? I said well why else would you be phoning me? He said it's been running very slow for the last few days to which I replied that it's come to a complete stop because I don't have BT internet. I then told him to do something that I won't repeat and hung up.

Fraud SPAM SCAM Told that I am being called from Visa Security Department saying that there has been a fraudulent purchase made for around £900 from my amazon or ebay account and whether I want to stop this fraudulent payment when no such purchase has been made or is even pending from my bank account. Received a call from this number, answered and received an automated message saying my Amazon account had 2 large orders using my card and they didn’t think it was me. It said press 1 for yes it was me and 2 for it wasn’t. I hung up an obvious scam call as how can they know who in the household picks up the call as there might be 5 of us with cards and Amazon accounts!

They claimed to be lowell but when I got transferred to another colleague they both sounded like the same person so it is likely that Lowells number is being cloned by scammers which gives then legitimacy as when people search the number they will find it belongs to the lowell Because I have been in an iva that includes lowell for over a year lowell would know that and not contact me also the amount the caller said I owned was a lot less than I actually do which is a way that they can gain peoples details b

Had a Messenger response from someone who called himself Gary then Gaz in response to Facebook Market Place advert. Further message asked me to message him on 07984645686 as his iPad was playing up. I replied that I did not have my phone and could only use Messenger. He sent 3 further messages without any problem finally saying that he would call and collect the item next Tuesday and pay cash, and what is my address. I ended the conversation there.

Bit of digging on Linkedin etc confirm this and that is it a cover for many businesses including call centres. Tells you all you need to know.

01794399253 called my landline on Thursday 13 July and a recorded message advised me that money had been transferred from my account and to key 1 to sort it. 01794 is a Romsey UK number as is my number so I assumed it was local. I did not continue with the call. It was the same as other messages that I have received recently mentioned Amazon. How do scammers phone from local numbers?

I think this is a scam call pretending to be 02. They send you a code via text and then ask for the code to be able to access your account online. The security says to no give the code to 02 staff, soo if they are real why are they asking for the code to apply supposed discount!!!
