Even though it is a message from a local number, this appears to be a banking scam -

Phone call offering me a new phone and contract with massive savings. When I asked question that the caller was not prepared for or on her script she became very confused. I gave her false information about my phone, contract cost and provider and asked more questions that she could not answer she hung up. Number now blocked.
I have received 2 computer generated messages about an Amazon account from this number. On the surface it appears to be a local number but I believe it is a scam.
No msg left - now will block this number

I received a text from +44 7305 112863 “Mum I smashed my phone … could you message me on WharsApp, my new number is 07438977792” this is clearly a scam.
Same as below received emailed ebay order confirmation which states 'call us on + 20 7665 0123 to report this to our fraud protection team'. Just recently used ebay for first time in years so very suspect and definately not a genuine order. Report direct to ebay direct, not on number provided in invoice, from the online site and Actionfraud website.
My father passed away a few weeks ago. This number rang his phone and hung up. I would like to hang them up.

The number = 01709889223, this number phoned me today (at 13:08 on 1st March 2022) and the caller stated they were from BT OUTBOUND ringing about my telephone. They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls. I checked online and the number was listed as Indian and Rotherham based. first searched 7 minutes before I got my text from me talking about my DPD redelivery options. 10 searches in 15 minutes (including mine). Highly likely to be a scam.

I said if I wanted advice I would seek it myself, not from a company I didn't know. Internet search shows that there is a Rethink Energy Ltd, but no Rethink Energy Company.

An abrupt call demanding who I was followed by another 6 calls in the next hour. No voicemail left.
There was a call from this number to my mobile number. The line was awful but there was someone on the other end with a strong Asian accent, which added to the bad line, I couldn't understand a word they were saying. It's a Garstang number and I don't know anyone or aware of any business in that area, so presume the call was a possible scam call.

Received an email from PayPal this morning saying that a money request from someone called Johna Radcliffe for 899.99 GBP, with the message "suspicious activity found in your account 899.99 gbp has been debited called us immediately to report @ +44-800-368-9757. BE AWARE THAT THIS PHONE NUMBER IS COMMITTING FRAUD & ALSO USING PAYPAL TO DO IT!!!!!!!!
