Answered this random call to my mobile, automated message saying that a charge had been made against my name from the inland revenue. Ridiculous, I called back to challenge them. A foreign man answered saying HMRC can I help you? I asked why they called me, he asked if he could have my name. I said no. He said You had better get ready to be arrested, Ms ....... (using my name, which I hadn t given), then hung up. Vile scum.
These are scam calls, I used to get up to 8 a day, I got myself the bt 8500 home phone, it blocks all nuisance calls. Check it out on Google.

I have blocked them all. I assume this is some sort of new scam.

Claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse offering me great deals on mobile contracts and phone with a very strong Indian accent. I let him babble on and on and when he's finished, I let him repeat the details by asking further questions. After that I told him that I'll get my mistress to go through the details and call back. He then gave me a number to call back which was 02036951143 together with his 'Agent ID'. I see that 02036951143 is another of these scamming numbers. Scammers!

Telemarketing- seemed to know all my details (address and full name). I expressed i could not take the phone call as i was working but they pushed me to take the call. They asked me to verify my details and then rattled off some speech about how i may be contacted by someone in the future. I said no to this and she just repeated the statement. A man called, asking to speak to me (so knew my mobile number and name) and said he was from some pensions advisor service. Same questions as previous calls, was I aware of recent pension changes in the law etc. I was a bit vague so he said he would pass me onto a senior advisor at which point I hung up.
