SCAM I didn't recognise the number so didn't lift the handset. Half a message was left at 10.27 a.m. The beginning was missing, and the message went on, "However, your internet and 'phone connection will be getting disconnected if this won't be fixed. Press 1 to speak with our Executive and get it fixed." HOW DARE THEY? This is OUTRAGEOUS. I recognised it as a scam, but what about all the innocents out there who pressed 1?
This is old story - this number is used by some "insurance company" - they check databases of car accidents and try to call you with offer of 'unclaimed compensation' for a car accident with some money set aside for you, but in most cases this is as usually fake to make you tell them your personal data... In some cases this number is reported as Evolution Legal Services Stockport or Action Assistance, in both cases they will ask you questions about PPI...

Wrote to,a client of mine saying they had been signposted by,their own GP . Did she need a new mattress? Sold her a single Memory Foam mattress for £14000 ...... Even went as far as writing the cheque out for her then getting her to sign it! Luckily she had the notice to phone the local CAB afterwards.
