I called the number back, got a recorded message, something about 'cloud campus' ... blocked the no.
SCAM : claimed to be bank investigating large transactions. Same patter as from two other separate numbers.

I called the number back from a Hidden land line number. This is an energy cold caller rep called Chris and when I asked why they call my mobile he hung up.
SPAM rang three times then stopped.
Automated call stated fraudulent transactions (Amazon and international transaction for £3000) were made.

As the number is local to me, I took a chance and called them back, It's the Boots Opticians Appointment Booking Centre so it's quite safe. They have written to me several times as I'm due for my eye test but I just hadn't got around to making an appointment. I'm leaving this comment just to let other searchers know who called.

Man with Pakistani accent (no name given) said my computer is giving me trouble. It is, as it's refusing to boot up. He also said it is a laptop, correct again. Completely unnerved, I said that Action Fraud would be delighted to hear about it and then I rang off without giving any of my details. This has got me really, really worried. I do my utmost to keep everything secure, with passwords, 3 step authentication, etc. How has he got in?

Missed call cannot ring the number back which screams SCAM or high pressure sales call. I have been pestered recently by buy to rent mortgage type people although not from the area code (Torquay) and estate planning neither of which would be of any use to me. Calling saying they were from Currys / PC World , accent suggested Indian caller, Currys / PC World do not have permission to call me - caller hung up when challenged on this. I suspect it was a scam call (your PC is infected with a virus type scam)
Claimed to be a managing director and wanted to sell a course at a place called tile yard. Couldn’t get his words out properly and he didn’t seem to know what he was going on about. Sounded very inexperienced/out of his depth. Would not trust this caller or his business. AVOID.
