Claimed it was EE, but I suspect this is most likely a SCAM call centre due to the line of questioning and the fact they simply hung up on me when they weren't getting the response they were looking for.
Fraud Text from this number claiming to be from Evri and that they had failed to deliver a parcel this morning because "since nobody was home". Hmmm since my car was on the drive and the hall light was on and my wife and I were both here I would dispute that claim!!! This company uses Voxbone SA (now called bandwidth) services to route calls from scammers. this is just one of many telephone numbers i have had call me trying to scam me and i receive up to six per day for the past few weeks. At the beginning I politely told them that i was not interested requesting them to take my number off their call list and now its straight FO. Sorry for generalising it but it usually an Asian woman or man.

SCAM message received 14/02/24 appearing in same text message thread that I receive from Lloyds Bank. It provides a one-time passcode for a purchase that I had not made to FENDI LTD. It tells me to contact them on 03333392763 if I had NOT made the purchase. I did not call them, instead I contacted the fraud dept. of Lloyds Bank. Called on 10th Feb 2023. Man with an Indian accent claiming to be from Virgin Media. Told me our IP address had been hacked and changed from a UK to a US one. Obviously total rubbish and scam. Wanted me to speak to a 'very knowledgeable engineer' to connect to my computer and 'fix it'. No doubt wanted me to connect to and open a scam website. He eventually hung up when I told him I was actually a network engineer but was quite persistent.
Another Amazon account scammer. The number is probably spoofed.

Claimed to be calling from "credit investigation unit" and government had shortlisted me to write off 90% of my debt. I got him to stop, then said I was recording the call and began quizzing him. The story he spun twisted and flipped, wouldn't answer how/why the government knows what my credit status is, or who compiles the shortlist, or where his employer got it. I repeated that I was recording the call and suggested it was a scam. He swore and cut off the call.

they called me twice no caller id claiming to know the last four digits of my card, part of my address (which was wrong) and saying i made a transaction on the weekend which i did not, they sent me a code and it said to add my card to their apple pay, so obviously they were trying to take my credit card details and commit fraud on my account, they kept saying im verified my identity they then went silent when i said ill call my bank, called bank and they said yep my account is secure and that was a phising.

SPAM Call center Asked for the MD by name, I asked who was calling she replied "Lydia". Put her on hold while I asked the MD if they knew who she was, and they didn't have a clue. Went back and said that the MD wasn't available and could I take a message. She then asked to speak to our other MD and I replied that they were not avaialble either. I asked again if I could take a message, of which she just said she would try again tomorrow. Not a chance ....number blocked.
