SCAM - Picked up call on my mobile. Asian sounding man alleging he had received a file from RGA regarding my "claim". I firmly informed him that I have no claims arising but he was persistent. He hung up when I wouldn't back off and get into conversation. Definite scam, number now blocked.

I received a missed call from this number, when called back heard a musical tone (no ringing) answered straight away and knew my name as my number hadn't been blocked. Asked to whom I was speaking and was advised that it was the "Motor Investigation Bureau" regarding a recent minior incident. Without confirming who I was, I pressed for mor information and was advised that it was regarding a minor accident involving my vehicle whereby a negligent driver had bumped into my car. Web development company from India using a false UK landline number. This is now the 70th call from an overseas company after registering a domain name yesterday. As a web development company of many years standing, we have never had this hassle before when registering new domain names for our clients. These people are like vultures!!!! 3 times these person called me after saying twice nicely that I wasn't interested and hanged up. The 3rd time wasn't so nice and asked to speak to management and he refused to and then was threatening as well saying who do you think I am and do you know who I am etc.

Currently in the US and just had a call from this number. I didn t answer but found this page so I ll endorse peoples comments about being contacted whilst abroad. I ve recently added my mobile number with the Telephone Preference Service but it can take a month before that kicks in.

I didn’t give her any chance to enter into a sales patter but just told her that I already had a local plumber and that any thoughts of selling me of her wares was destined for failure.
