Automated call Ostensibly from BT, saying suspicious (or similar!) activity on my phone and internet, so will be closing them down. Press 1 ........ etc ! This is the second scamming call within a few minutes, but the other was from a mobile pretending to be from Amazon. The scammers are really active today!

this is the second number to ring to say that they were calling from virgin media and that I was having problems with my internet and my router was intermittent and had a fault. I had a call from 02084421145 this morning 28/02/2020. It was a recorded message telling me that Amazon Prime was going to take £79 out of my bank account for the annual membership fee. It said if I did not agree then I should press 1 on my phone keypad. I ended the call. I am not an Amazon Prime member!
