Rip off. Wanted to contact my credit card company so searched for number on line. Clicked a link through and ended up being charged over £9. Cross with myself for being lured into this.
The call came supposedly from Virgin Media. When I said if it was Virgin then could she tell me my name? She just laughed and laughed then said she had a cold!! I hung up.

I received a call from this number 0161 339 0836 to day 22/9/22 at 11 35am To say I had 2 transactions on my visa card and did I want to cancel ,it was defenetley a scam call .the question is it was local number to me 0161 339 .I didn't call back .when I asked for the last four numbers on the card they put the phone down.

WARNING: 01542832293, supposedly from SKY telephones with a refund of £202 for being over charged in previous months. We don't have any SKY account. Accent was so thick I could barely understand anything he said, but he wanted my details. I said I was not giving any details over the phone to someone that I did not know and wanted someone to talk to me as clearly as I was talking to him. I waited, the line was open, and he hung up. Automated voice said something about my Amazon prime account. As I don’t even have an Amazon account I believe this is a scam and have blocked the number.

Claiming we had an outstanding insurance policy for drains etc which we do not, also quoted a password which has occurred on other scam calls so looks like same lot trying it on to unwary types.
Calls from this and associated numbers 02081443801 and 3803 have been persistent on my mobile since October 2022. They have recently become daily. They have of course long since been blocked. They are now a nuisance on my landline, blocked again. They need to be shut down.

Scam call saying i have been involved in a car accident
This is a scam company trying to sell services for stock trading. They use a multiple mobile back up numbers also. They are always non English natives with Russian, east European, Indian accents featuring. They will offer to send you a clickable What's App link which is possibly infected with a Trojan virus or takes you to a website. They will keep calling no matter you telling them you are not interested. Definitely avoid.
