At first I thought they were a legit company regarding my adverts already on the web. They then transferred me to someone else and he was very aggressively trying to get me to pay to promote my business. Eventually I said that I wasn t going to pay but he kept on. I hung up.

Asian voice claiming to be called Richard from Global Pension Advisors who knew my name. When he asked me how I was I put the phone down. Reasons...he wasn t called Richard, anybody calling me about pensions is likely to be a scam or at least something I am not vaguely interested in, all scammers seem to "ask how are you today" and my phone is listed with TPS.

Stated he was phoning from Microsoft and became very aggressive and threatening when I said I was not interested.Stated they would cut off my computer .When I asked why he was phoning from a mobile rather than landline he did not respnd nor when I said I would phone Microsoft myself.Think this is most likely to be a scam (if not Microsoft need to be more careful in who they employ!!)

As I am with virgin I went along with it initially, but it rang warning bells as was to my work internet phone number (working from home atm). They asked if I was owner of number and bill payer of internet phone line, said no it was for work, and where had they got number, and they hung up.
