TAXES / HMRC SCAM - Received a call from this number. Recorded message informing me that a letter from HMRC had been returned and therefore proceedings are going to be issued against me. I was instructed to press '1' to speak to an advisor but I hung up instead and reported the call to ICO.org.uk. I am hoping that this is not somebody's private number being cloned.

I gave my details to a Fake BBC New story on Facebook about trading software and this company keeps calling me. I have asked them three times to delete my contact details under the GDPR "right to be forgotten" and they simply get abusive. They are looking for me to "activate my account and upload £200 on a debit/credit card".

I was called at about 11.35 am today with a recorded message saying that my card had been used to pay £700+ on Amazon and £2000 international money transfer, asking me to press 1 to speak to someone, which I did not do. I strongly suspect that this is a scam.

This is to harvest people’s voice related to your phone number and location for database. All done in a nano second by AI software. Someone wants to know where you are and that it is you answering the phone. That is why you get these calls several times daily even if you have told you are not interested.

SCAM!! A female with an Asian accent. Asked to speak to Mr XXXX (if you are going to scam someone at least get their gender right). Asking if I could secure whether I had any unsecured debt. I had a bit of spare time so I turned the conversation upside down and started grilling her. She allegedly got my details from GRS which she said was a government agency. Got a call from this number this morning. Allegedly from my Bank. It’s a scam do not respond.

Claimed to be calling from O2, Indian call centre. Offering a 40% discount off my next bill, but could not tell me the name of the account holder. Hung up when I asked who he wanted to speak to. Said he'd send 2 text messages for me to activate the discount!!!!! Why if he was from O2, and I was with O2 he'd have my details and could active the discount automatically. Block this number.

I believe I have received what I believe to be a scam call from this number stating payments have been taken form my bank for Amazon and Western Union press 1 for customer support. Any 'odd' payments would not be reported by my bank in this way

Caller ID identified the call was from Bishops Stortford. The caller said he was from O2 offering a 30% discount on my tariff. I told him I was suspicious of this call, he diverted me to another person who repeated the discount spiel. Asked why I'd be getting a discount, he said many complaints to O2 has led them to offer 'selected customers' a discount; I wouldn't have to give him any personal details, he would send me 2 texts. so I told him to sod off and disconnected the call. I declined both options and checked my account online to find, surprise, surprise, there were no such transactions.

Cold caller claiming to be wanting to do a "young persons disability survey". Probably computer generated dialling since I am ex-directory and they had no idea as to the age generation they were talking to.
