This number called today at 07.36 and claimed to be from Microsoft. The person with an Asian accent told me my computer has been compromised and said have you herd of hackers. I asked for an email to confirm it was Microsoft but he reassured me it was and trust him he has details of my computer security number, we went round incircles a bit, then I put the phone down. 10secons later he called back asking why I put the phone down as I new he was genuine but called me from a different number02088884827.

SCAM E-Mail, I believe this e-mail to be a scam. Informed me that my Currys PC protection plan is up for renewal @ £499.99. The phone number that they suggest I ring to talk about the renewal or cancellation is +44 1348 881008 this on checking, is a company in Dudley, using a [email protected] address. I may be wrong but I don't have any service plans with Currys and I think their e-mail address would include some reference to currys.

I answered and they mentioned something about EE, then asked me how much I pay per month, I responded, no thanks I've just started a new contract. They then said "I never asked you to change your contract", I then said, I will stop you there and just tell you I am not interested, he then responded repeatedly, "GO FCK YOURSELF". SCAM Caller claimed to be from EON Next - very poor line, started to claim that they were calling regarding an issue with our post code and wanted meter details. I refused as I'd had another similar call from different number last week - which had all the hallmarks of a scam, so I hung up then and called EON Next back to verify what was going on. They had no record of any calls being made by EON Next to my company either in reference to our post code or our meter numbers. TOTAL SCAM - HANG UP !

Mobile phone spam / scam / fraud. Scammers pretend to call from Currys Mobile department. They will sign you up on a completely different deal than agreed initially with the most expensive phone available. They use several phone numbers some of them on Whatsapp. Also will e-mail an order confirmation from an address that seems genuine. It's not. After receiving the parcel they will try to convince you to send the phone back to some shady residential address. Avoid!
