That number is from Barclays, I was a bit dubious at first and went to the Barclays site itself and did the following steps: - On the main page click on the tab that says - Services and support (top right of page) - then from the drop down list go to the left, under Help and support click - Help and FAQs - then start typing - tel - (for telephone) scroll down the options and you should find - Telephone number checker - click on that and type the number into the check number box and click the green check

A very suspect call. Phone rang and after a few seconds of silence the call terminated. I would never try to phone back in case of the call-back scam which can put you through to a premium number which makes massive charges. This kind of call, even if a genuine cold call, can be very worrying to some people and I abhorr the method.

Got this phone call tonight at 7.20pm! Scottish chap saying he was from energy - whatever could not understand him he was on about house I live in energy efficient. I toild him I had my walls, loft insulated last year, then he was going on about that was stage 1 this is stage 2 ! I told him I was not interested, he was on about his friend to phone me tomorrow, I said no & put the phone down. These calls really get on my nerves especially the times they choose to ring you.
From a supposedly trading company... wanted you to supply email address , form of id and utility bill and selfie photo, plus of course approximately 300 quid!!!
