Silent call

My son answered the phone and passed it to me. A voice clearly stated who they were and that I was being recorded. I asked where they got my number from (as its a brand new line and I have not given it to anyone at all!)They said I was on there system as I was a customer of there s. I said I wasn t and they said I had bought an indosit washing machine. My washing machine is 8 years old and not and indosit!!! I kept saying where did you get my number from and an annoying English voice said I understand madam

asked my name ,then put phone down !

Fake Amazon bot said I d placed a 3 figure Amazon order. I hung up before listening to the whole scam.

recorded message said that call was from BT and that my landline and internet contract would be terminate unless I called a certain number...I put the phone down!

Repeated calls, cut off when I answer or my answermachine cuts in. Google the number, you ll see many forums are complaining that this number is that of Business Census , and it s data-gathering for resale. Calls border on harassment. Complained to BT and TPS.

They have been calling numerous times everyday for at least a week. I have now blocked their number but the app I have used notifies me every time it blocks a call.

They claim to be a child cancer support group offering advertising for small businesses in a brochure which is handed out to thousands of people. They expect a fee of £149+ VAT ...

They phoned me to say they were Microsoft Specials. Told me my PC had a fault - possibly Virus Infected - and first tried to access my PC via Teamviewer. This did not work so i was told to visit www.ammyy.com. Here they did gain access and I sat back to watch the mouse pointer open and close multiple files etc. Much file info was Transfered and after sometime they phoned again to ask if the PC now worked faster,,,,Answer was, "NO". Cold call....I don t answer any number unless they leave a message and I want to call back. Any number that comes through that doesn t leave a message or is unknown to me I just put it in my blocked list and delete it immediately. Don t ever call unknown numbers back if its genuine they will always leave a message

have been getting these calls regularly, once daily for several weeks. I usually ignore the call when my caller display shows this number. Last week I rang 1471 for the hell of it and got a recorded message -your wine club tried to contact you. I am actually a Laithwaites member and use them when I want to order wine. These calls seem to be part of a wider push to bring in more sales. However the recorded message also gives you an other number to ring if you wish not to receive further calls. This is 0800 6

They left brief voice mail asking who I was, then hung up. on 4th Feb 2021. Ive since blocked number.
