Called the number back, seems to be a cold call centre related to "bank compensation claims" advised my number is unlisted and requested to be removed from their list

SCAM / SPAM Claiming to be from HMRC for fraud asking for my personal information, I’ve called HMRC and they haven’t made a call they would send out a letter not a phone call.
Just had to blick this number. This number calls persistently and has become too intrusive, interrupting at inconvenient times. I don t know the number. I answered it just once but there was only a very short recording with a woman s voice, so brief I was unable to even catch what she was saying.
Compensation claims company. Ringing a few times a day.
This is yet another bum number you answer it and it rings off.

SCAM Automated call pretended to be Ofcom and that my io address has been connected with links and internet was to be switched off within 24 hours, and asking me to press 1 to connect with the scammer. Hung up and contacted Ofcom directly and clarified it was indeed a scam. Horrible bastards I hope no one gets caught out HANG UP IMMEDIATLY.

I once answered the phone and asked who is it and they automatically cut off. I find it strange how this is becoming the norm all of a sudden. I refuse to change my number though if you call me, I think it is only right that you introduce yourself first. Since they did not I know they have something to hide!!! I am glad to let the world know that when you see this number it is not worth picking up. Just leave it & let it ring! I wonder how much their phone call expenses are? I did not enter a conversation and eventually the caller got upset that I was not engaging and told me firmly that they were going to end the call. Good result for me......
