SCAM / SPAM - Tried to tell me in an automated voice that my debit card had been used overseas and the sum of £600 had been taken from my account and if this was indeed true, to press 1 on my keypad to confirm or 2 for more information. DO NOT PRESS! I didn't as I knew this to be scam as it had previously been reported in my local newspaper as doing the rounds in my area. On investigating the whereabouts of where the number and scammer was calling from I believe it to be Huntley, Scotland.
This is one of the most persistent callers I have come across. Eventually, I found the contact number to remove yourself from their list. (http://www.tnsglobal.com/uk/have-you-been-contacted-for-research/telephone) They claim not to sell on your details from calling numbers on this page.

Claimed to be calling from BT Open Reach about outages from my router. I asked which city he was located in He hung up... I suspect this may have been first step to ask me to go to a particular website and then they would install Ransomware...
